Tie is the place word in the ti- family, alongside (that one), (that thing), (then) and (thus). Add and it moves close to you: tie (or tie) means here. The accusative of direction matters here more than anywhere: tie is I am there, but is I am going there, and dropping that -n is the classic beginner slip.
