Nun is "now", the present moment. It is a plain adverb, so it never takes an ending and it can sit almost anywhere in the sentence without changing the sense. Pair it with ĝis for ĝis nun ("up to now") and with de for de nun ("from now on"). Its correlative counterpart for past or future reference is tiam.
