unu

Unu is the number one, and unlike an adjective it never takes -j or -n. In mi vidis unu homon the accusative sits on the noun alone, which is the shape learners most often get wrong. Unu also works as "a certain" before a noun, and the frame unu ... la alia gives you "one another".
