kaj

Kaj joins words, phrases and whole clauses, and like every Esperanto function word it never inflects. Doubled up at the front of both halves it means "both ... and": kaj mi kaj li is "both I and he". In a list it takes no comma before it, so mi, vi kaj li is the ordinary written form.
