is the masculine third-person pronoun, with the object form and the possessive . Where English lets "he ... his" be ambiguous, Esperanto is precise: if the possessor is the subject of the same clause you must switch to , so is another man's hand and is his own. The same split runs through the object pronoun, against sin.
